Covered Wagon

Covered wagon photo SonoranMar20134514a_zpsa2c7952c.jpg
Covered wagon camped for the night, Southern Arizona

He’s stopped for the night,
The wagon’s at rest;
The mules are tethered,
Their hay passed the test;
When the sun rises,
He’ll be on the road
Heading on westward—
Adventure’s his mode!

The mule is a beast of burden - their ornery dispositions may be lore, but even he enjoys his nightly sabbatical away from the cart. He looks much sweeter at rest...

Love the slumped pose of the critter, quietly taking his ow time out! A colourful wagon!
