Preacher man a-preachin’
To the sky and to the birds;
Don’t you wish you understood
His message and his words?
Story after story comes
Pouring from his tongue—
Sometimes fiery tales
‘bout the world when it was young;
And sometimes dark allusions
To sin and hell and such;
Doesn’t bother me a bit—
Well, at least not much!

Faith and prayer can be very powerful motivators - the pastor shows this and his passion gets our attention - and for those in attendance, their minds and lives may be changing during the service. Perhaps for the better...
I like a man with a passion and need for people. Right or wrong; at least he's trying to make a difference.
Not many of them nowadays.
Most of us are curling comfortably up in front of the TV set, watching our heroes sweat for us and for short term glory.

Sometimes on my morning commute I encounter "preachers" on the subway. I'd kind of like to tell them that they're making it hard for me to concentrate on my own personal prayers/meditation—but in the end I just have to let them do their thing.
