Red Glow for Writers

Took a group of Year 9 students into Melbourne last Friday.
Inside the Ian Potter Gallery at Flinders Street was this banner advertising the current Melbourne Writers Festival.
There were a number of these banners in different colours with varying, creative images in the upper "head" of the banner.
At the bottom of the photo is a Swedish writer being interviewed.

What a wild looking banner, that should definitely spark a writer's (or anyone's) imagination.

How stylish - writers like all other artists often have to work hard to write what the writer considers to be creative. Yet, the written word has added a spark of creativity to the bannen artist...cool, and I hope the students are equally inspired!

Interesting photo -great composition with so much going on.

Year 9 excursion! That brings back mixed memories for me (i was an art teacher) - the good and the not so good:) Who was the swedish writer? Camila Lackberg??

My entry (top) pic verges on orange - but i think it just makes the red category.
