Took a group of Year 9 students into Melbourne last Friday.
Inside the Ian Potter Gallery at Flinders Street was this banner advertising the current Melbourne Writers Festival.
There were a number of these banners in different colours with varying, creative images in the upper "head" of the banner.
At the bottom of the photo is a Swedish writer being interviewed.
Writers need creative art
What a wild looking banner, that should definitely spark a writer's (or anyone's) imagination.
The banner is very eye-catching. Happy RT2.
How stylish - writers like all other artists often have to work hard to write what the writer considers to be creative. Yet, the written word has added a spark of creativity to the bannen artist...cool, and I hope the students are equally inspired!
What a beautiful red banner :-) Thank you for hosting the Ruby Tuesday :-)
must be an exciting event to meet and talk with writers! i hope one day I get a book signed by my favosites =)
Very inspiring Pic!
Interesting photo -great composition with so much going on.
Year 9 excursion! That brings back mixed memories for me (i was an art teacher) - the good and the not so good:) Who was the swedish writer? Camila Lackberg??
My entry (top) pic verges on orange - but i think it just makes the red category.
Great combination - writers/artists - one and the same really! Interesting banner. Thanks for hosting RR2.
it's a nice red banner, happy rt 2!
Impossible to miss !
That is a eyecatching banner, just how it should be, Love the red.
LOve your picture!
It must have been interesting to be able to attend this festival.
You had me when I saw the door, but the poetry is amazing.
