The wedding will be festive - how could it not, with the pretty girl in the red dress? It is a lovely town, too - and I love that 1947 Chrysler wedding car, too!
I just love this--the pic AND the poem! I linked up and found you because I started my own meme on my blog today, though I'm not really sure what I am doing! I searched meme (after I posted the blog, which seems a bit backwards now) and found you and I am so glad I did! http://anothertiredmommy.blogspot.com

Oh, lovely! Many years ago a young girl, whom I did not know, looked on as I was married on the property that would become my home for the next 10 years. She was dressed similarly and I thought she was beautiful.
Great capture. The body language of the red dressed girl. Too young to wed, but not too young to dream. I also love the frozen moment of the whole scene, like the time has been standing still.
nice photo and words!
ReplyDeletehappy RT!

There is something olde worlde in this scene! The red dress enhances this effect with all those incredible flounces and a large bow!
