Ruby Cactus Blossom

El Charco del Ingenio
Cactus blossom, El Charco del Ingenio, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, México

Why are you amazed
that the brightest flowers bloom,
nestling among thorns?

What a beautiful contrast - the soft, colourful flower and the spiky cactus (leaf?). Nice composition.

Very pretty! From this perspective it could almost pass as a small rose!

Love the cactus flower bloom! We have some here that grow wild in open fields and along roads. They are a bright yellow in color!

I have an RT2 post this time! Come see!!
