Desert Rubies

Ocotillo blossoms photo AnzaBoMay2013124a_zps7bd0e491.jpg
Ocotillo blossoms, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Southern California

Ocotillo blossoms,
Little gems of red,
Queens would gladly wear you—
Or so someone said!

The desert floor is grayish as the Spring blooms are falling...so these look as desert rubies, as jewelry that would make a pastel necklace that is colorful to wear. On a neck or in the desert too!
